  SYLVIA D. VANHORN 
  
    Sylvia D. VanHorn, 78, formerly of Cumberland, Md., died Tuesday, Aug.
  26, 1986, at her home.
    Born Aug. 28, 1907 in Garrett County, she was the daughter of Russell and
  Florence (Shipley) Davis.  Her husband, Robert Leroy VanHorn, preceded her
  in death on Nov. 19, 1966.
    She was a former member of Centre Street Methodist Church, Cumberland.
    Surviving are two sons, Robert Joseph VanHorn, at home, and William
  Michael VanHorn, Canfield, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Anania,
  Youngstown, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Mary Jo Holland, Baltimore, Md., six
  grandchildren and two great - grandchildren.
    Graveside services were conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in Rest Lawn
  Memorial Gardens, LaVale, Md.
    The Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, was in charge of arrangements.
