  VANMETER
  
  Linda L. Vanmeter, 36, Garrett RD 1, died May 4, 1988, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born March 1, 1952, in Oakland, Md., a daughter of the
  late Melvin and Dorcas (Butler) McKinley.  Survived by a stepfather, George
  Boden, of Rockwood; also survived by Herman Bittinger and these children:
  Lisa Maust and Debbie Vanmeter, both of Fredrick, Md.; Crystal Vanmeter,
  Garrett RD 1; two sons, George and Allen Bittinger, at home; also one
  grandchild.  She was a sister of Melvin Wilt, Cumberland, Md.; and Nancy
  Wilt, Garrett RD 1.  Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the
  Leckemby Funeral Home in Meyersdale, where service will be Saturday at 2
  p.m. with the Rev. R. C. Lacy officiating.
