He is survived by his wife, the former Carole J. Harding and his mother, Mrs. J. J. van Rossum. Mr. van Rossum had first studied science and physics at the University of Utrecht where he later changed to mathematics. After three years in the Rehabilitation center in Leorsum, he undertook the computer-programmer study and was employed at the Space Observatory in Utrecht where the "ANS", a joint European project missile was launched. Jan had been an active Member of the "Return of our Lord" church in Utrecht where he and Carole participated in the Bible Study and Sermon Groups. In Meyersdale he'll be dearly remembered by Carole's family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harding, the J. C. Baer family and the Bruce C. Knepper family. Jan gave his body for scientific research. A memorial service was held for him Wednesday evening, December 23, led by the Priest Bert Sturkenboom. Mrs. C. J. van Rossum-Harding Livingstonelaan 878 3526 JL Utrecht The Netherlands.
