VanSickle, 67, Manchester, formerly of Addison, died June 8, 1988, in Barley Manor Care Nursing Home, York, Pa. Born Jan. 4, 1921, in Addison Township, daughter of the late Willis O. and Ethel (McClintock) Green. Survived by her husband, Clarence J. VanSickle Sr.; a son, Clarence J. VanSickle Jr., Dover; a daughter, Donna Throne, Mt. Wolf, Pa.; two grandsons; a sister, Grace Myers, Addison; and a brother, Paul Green, York. She was a registered nurse and graduated from the City Hospital of Baltimore, Md. Employed 10 years by Memorial Hospital in York, and also did private duty nursing. Member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manchester, and a Sunday School teacher for 25 years. A member of the V.F.W. Post 2493 Auxiliary of Mt. Wolf and a past-president of the Somerset County V.F.W. Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. Graveside service will be held in the Addison Cemetery Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. John R. Hickson officiating. Interment to follow. Daily American, June 10, 1988 [V0047]
