  Jack Vanyo, 79, Lauderdale-bythe-Sea, Fla., formerly of Johnstown,
  died Nov. 21, 1997, at home.  Born Aug. 9, 1918, in Garfield, N.J. 
  Preceded in death by son, John J. Vanyo Jr.  Survived by wife of 56
  years, the former Louise Marzitelli; children: Robert, married to the
  former Barbara Francis, Somerset; Patricia Louise, Camp Hill;
  grandchildren: Courtney, Fletcher, Drew and Tucker Vanyo; Heather and
  Evan Williams; also sister, Noreen Schatz, North Carolina.  World War
  II Navy veteran.  Co-founder of Vanyo Inc., a wholesale distribution
  company selling to electric utilities throughout the 14 northeastern
  states.  Served as president of Greater Johnstown Golf Association
  for 25 years.  Former member of Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic
  Church, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.
  Wednesday, Msgr. Thomas K. Mabon.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Tuesday at Frank Duca Funeral Home Inc., Westmont Chapel, 1622
  Menoher Blvd., Johnstown.  Entombment. Grandview Mausoleum.  In lieu
  of flowers donations may be made to Summers Best Two Weeks, Box 299,
  Boswell RD 2, Pa. 15531 in his memory.  Jack was everyone's friend.
