  D. Theodore Varchetti, 74, Somerset, died June 24, 2004, at home.  Born May
  2, 1930, in Macdonaldton, son of Samuel and Susan (Rose) Varchetti.
  Preceded in death by parents; sisters: Kay Wilson, Alice McCune, and Mary
  Campbell and brothers: Joseph, Samuel and Charles.  Survived by his wife of
  49 years, the former Shirley Brant; children: Debbie married to Jeff
  Engleka, Somerset, Jan Samler, Berlin, and Dan Varchetti, Somerset;
  grandchildren: Travis and Ryan Varchetti and Gina Engleka. Korean War Army
  veteran. Retired manager at Snyder of Berlin.  Attended St. Gregory's
  Catholic Church, Macdonaldton and St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset.
  Member of Somerset F.O.E. Aerie 1801, and Berlin American Legion.  He will
  be sadly missed by family and friends.  Family will receive friends from 2
  to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin where vigil for
  the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10
  a.m. Monday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset.  The Rev.
  Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating.  Interment Somerset Co.  Memorial
  Park. Please omit flowers, contributions may be given to "In Touch"
  Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
