  SAMUEL VARCHETTI 
  
    Samuel Varchetti, 88, of Acme (Westmoreland County), formerly of
  Macdonaldton, died Dec. 6, 1975, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. 
  Born Nov. 1, 1887, in Italy, he was a son of the late Vincent and
  Catherine Varchetti.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the
  former Susan Rose, in 1972, and a son, Charles, in infancy. 
    Surviving are these children: Mrs. Katherine Wilson, North
  Hollywood, Calif.; Mrs. James (Alice) McCune, Acme; Joseph and
  Theodore Varchetti, both of Berlin; Mrs. Hayes (Mary) Campbell,
  Stahlstown; and Samuel Jr. of St. Louis; also 14 grandchildren and
  nine great-grandchildren.
    He was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Macdonaldton, and a
  knight of St. George.
    Funeral mass was held Tuesday morning in St. Gregory's Catholic
  Church, Macdonaldton, with the Rev. Father Zamonet, O-Carm.,
  officiating.  Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park.
