Born Jan. 25, 1898 in Hungary. Preceded in death by parents, husband, Andrew J. Sr., who died Oct. 20, 1970, and a son William, who died in Naval service in World War II. Survived by a son, Andrew, married to the former Frances Sladek, of Jennerstown; a daughter, Betty Ann, wife of B. J. Maurer Jr., of Boswell; seven grandchildren; William Varney; Rose Ann (Varney) Young; Andrew Varney III; Christopher Maurer; Mrs. Susan (Maurer) Pugh; Michael Maurer and Matthew Maurer; and four great-grandchildren: Michelle and Melissa Varney, Jessica Pugh and Heather Young. Was a sister of Mrs. Elizabeth Eslinger of Middletown, N.Y . and Frank Tobias of Hungary. Member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Jenners. Friends were received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boswell, with the Rev.
