  John Varvarinec, 97, of Central City, died April 28, 1994, at home. 
  Born June 17, 1896, in Austria, a son of John and Sophia
  Varvarinec.  Preceded in death by parents, and daughter, Barbara
  Sura.  Survived by wife of 75 years, the former Mary Ponsok, and
  these children: Marie Tober, and Veronica Mervar both of Ohio, John
  of California; Theresa, wife of Robert Will of Windber and Elizabeth
  "Becky" at home.  Also survived by son-in-law, John Sura, 11
  grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.  Friends will be
  received after 7 p.m. Saturday and after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mulcahy
  Funeral Home, Central City, where a brief service will be held 9:30
  a.m. Monday followed at 10 a.m. by divine liturgy at St.'s Peter and
  Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Central City, the Rev. Miles
  Zdinak.  Interment, Parish Cemetery.  Panachida will be sung 7:15
  p.m. Saturday, and funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Sunday both at
  funeral home.
