Vaughan, 76, of Berlin, died Feb. 6, 1995, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 28, 1919, in Northampton Township, daughter of Harvey T. and C. Edith (Hillegass) Meyers. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Virgil Edward Sr.; son, Virgil Edward Jr., and grandson, Daniel Lynn Deaner. Survived by these children: Mrs. Edward (Jeanne) Brown, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Lynn (Marjorie) Deaner, Berlin RD 3; Mrs. Larry (Pamela) Custer and Mrs. Robert (Colleen) Glotfelty, both of Berlin RD 4; D. Bruce, married to former Cathy Mitchell of Rockwood RD 1, and daughter-in-law, Michelle Vaughan of Berlin. These grandchildren: Timothy, Keith and Paul Brown, Shelby, Holly and Colby Custer, Alissa and Joshua Glotfelty, Douglas Deaner, Rachel, Jessica and Nicole Vaughan and Mandy Gindlesperger. Sister of Mrs. Carl (Marjorie C.) Hay of Glencoe; Mrs. William K. (Orvada E.) Meyers of Meyersdale RD 1, and Mrs. William E. (Eileen) Gnagey Jr. of Salisbury. Retired L.P.N. in the O.B. Department at Somerset Hospital. Member of Trinity U.C.C, Berlin, where she sang in the choir; Forbes Road Chapter of D.A.R., Trinity Chapter 138 O.E.S., Somerset; Berlin Mountaineer Homemakers, First Society of Farm Women and Pius Spring Woman's Club. She volunteered for many years with the Red Cross bloodmobile and as a nurse for Cub Scout and Girl Scout day camp. Family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin. Viewing from 2 p.m. until service at 3 p.m. Thursday at Trinity U.C.C., Berlin, Rev. Carl W. Schwarm officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Daniel Deaner Scholarship Fund through Trinity U.C.C., Berlin, Pa., 15530. O.E.S. service at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
