Born November 17, 1927 in Meyersdale, he was a son of the late Giovanni "John" and Grace (Dunmeyer) Vena. He was also preceded in death by a sister Madge (Mosser) Clayborne. He is survived by his companion of 33 years, Margaret Beynon, Meyersdale; three daughters: Diane, Sherlyn, and Maria; also stepdaughters: Patricia and Linda; and stepgranddaughter Nicki. He was a brother of: Shirley Stanton, Meyersdale; Jean Durst, Salisbury; Alice Shaulis, Meyersdale; Roy Vena, Meyersdale; John Vena, Meyersdale; Tony Vena, Meyersdale; and James Vena, Meyersdale. Robert was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Friends were received Monday at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., time of service, at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with the Rev. William G. Triebe officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale.
