  George (Swope) Vesek, Sr., 73 37 Nichol Street, Jenner, died Dec. 27,
  1977 at Somerset Comunity Hospital.  Born April 30, 1904 in Scalp
  Level he was the son of Michael and A  (Tkach) Vesek.  Preceded in
  death by parents, first wife, the former Anna J. Pishko, who died
  April 30, 1958 and sisters: Helen Gowarty and Mrs. Mary Hudak,
  brother, Joseph and stepchildren, William Williams and Anna Pearl
  Williams.  Survived by second wife, the former Esther (Minerd)
  Williams and these children: George Jr., married to the former Sue
  Cozzella, Jenners; Dolores, wife of Walter Dutkofski, Parma, Ohio;
  Rose Marie, wife of Raymond Metzgar, Cheektowaga, N.Y.; and
  stepchildren: Mrs. Shirley Shaulis, Listie; Lester Williams, Latrobe;
  Clifford Williams, Schwenksville; Edward Williams, Pittsburgh and
  Linda Weitz, St. Petersburg, Fla.; also 10 grandchildren and 11
  step-grandchildren.  Brother of Steve, married to the former Sue
  Sheftic; and Betty, wife of Thomas Panion both of Baltimore, Md.; and
  Miss Ann Vesek, New York City.  Member of St. Joseph's Catholic
  Church, Jenner, Jenner Rod and Gun Club, Jenner Local 1702 of the UMW
  of A, Pa. Slovak Catholic Union 68 and the Greek Catholic Union.  He
  was a retired employee of Pittsburgh Consolidation Coal Company,
  General Water Company and the Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell. 
  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  Thursday at the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny Street,
  Boswell, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. 
  Interment, St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Boswell.  Wake service at 7:30
  p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
