She was born in Ebensburg on Feb. 6, 1921, to the late Dr. Richard and Rhoda (Ribblett) Wicks. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert C. Vincent Jr.; her daughter, Carol V. Famariss, Somerset; and son, Richard W. Vincent and wife, Cindy, Plano, Texas. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren, Gordon C. Famariss and wife, Marisa and children, Ella and Jack, Dallas; Lyndsay Famariss and husband, Clark Myers and son, Teagan, Martha's Vineyard, Mass.; and Robert J. Famariss and wife, Jaime and son, Sean, Delran, N.J.; Susan Sutherland and husband, Andrew, Frisco, Texas; and Gregg Vincent, Plano. Eleanor's two brothers, Richard Wicks and wife, Betty, Daytona Beach, Fla.; and Dr. Robert Wicks and fiancee, Betty Kelson, Scottsdale, Ariz., also survive her. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a great animal lover and served as a board member of the Humane Society of Somerset County for nearly 30 years. She was the director of the Somerset County Red Cross for six years and spent many years volunteering for Meals on Wheels and for the Somerset Community Hospital. In Surfside, S.C., where she and Bob lived for six months each winter for the past 25 years, Eleanor enjoyed her bridge group, her sing-alongs, and her adventures with the Red Hat Society. A memorial service will be held in early spring at Trinity Lutheran Church. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Somerset County, Box 182, Somerset, PA 15501.
