  Wayne S. Vincent, 79, Longmont, Colo., formerly of Somerset and
  Florida, died Dec. 21, 2001 at the Longmont United Hospital.  Born
  June 22, 1922 in Boswell, son of Clyde Vincent and Ruth (Shaffer)
  Vincent-Benford.  Preceded in death by parents, and wife, former Lois
  C. Snyder, Jan. 12, 2000.  Survived by brothers, Robert Vincent and
  wife, Eleanor, Somerset; James Vincent, and wife Joyce, Weston,
  Mass., and Lee G. "Bud" Benford and wife Bonnie, Marshfield, Mass.;
  brother-in-law, Robert Snyder and wife, Eleanor, Johnstown; and
  sisters-in-law, Iva Jean Hockensmith, Ann Laverne, wife of Robert
  Valentine; Doris, wife of Louis Bopp; Nancy Jo, wife of Boyd Plummer,
  and Margie, all of Port Richey, Fla.  Also survived by numerous nieces
  and nephews.  Member of First United Methodist Church, Hudson, Fla.;
  Greater Johnstown Lodge 538 F. & A.M.; Altoona Consistory Jaffa 
  Temple; and Somerset Post 181 American Legion.  Former pilot for
  Appalachian Coal Co.,  Grantsville, Md., and the Rockwood Insurance
  Co.  Employed by former Vincent Chevrolet, Jerome, for many years. 
  Attended former Boswell High School and a graduate of Conemaugh
  Township High School, Davidsville.  Captain in the U.S. Air Force
  during World War II, serving as a bomber pilot in the Pacific
  Theater.  Also served in the U.S. Air Force following World War II,
  being honorably discharged, March 31, 1968.  Private family
  visitation with Masonic service at 6:30 p.m. Friday.  Friends
  received from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell.  Rev. Patricia M.
  Nelson officiating.  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery. 
  Graveside military rite in charge of U.S. Air Force.  In lieu of
  flowers, memorials may be sent to Longmont Humane Society. 9595
