Vitale, 87, Meyersdale, died April 17, 2007, at Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Oct. 2, 1919, in Meyersdale. A son of the late Angelo and Maria N. (Pannozzo) Vitale. Also pre- ceded in death by a brother, Lt. Thomas Vitale, who died in combat in World War II; a sister, Anna Sechler; and two nephews, Jack Nessly and Ronald Statler. Survived by three sisters, Viola Statler, Salisbury; Elinor Nessly, York; and Mary Walker, Meyersdale. Three brothers, James Vitale, Chester Springs; William Vitale, Fairfax, Va.; and Richard Vitale, Indiana, Pa. Also sur- vived by numerous nieces and nephews. A veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he served during World War II as a medical technician. Graduated with honors from Temple University with a degree in accounting. He retired as a CPA after working in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Johnstown and Harrisburg. Bob was the former owner of the Hotel Central in Meyersdale. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday. The Very Rev. James M. Dugan VF officiat- ing.
