  MICHAEL VAUGHN VITEZ
  
    Michael Vaughn Vitez, 12, of McHenry, MD, died Wednesday, Feb. 21,
  1990, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, MD, as the result of injuries
  sustained in a traffic accident Feb. 11.
    Born June 3, 1977, at Meyersdale, he was a son of Vaughn and
  Phyllis K. (Dowser) Vitez, at home.
    He was a seventh-grade student at Northern Middle School and a
  member of the Naval League Cadet Corps, Wisp Racing Club, and the
  Zion Lutheran Church and its youth choir.
    Also surviving are one sister, Dianna Lynn Vitez, a student at
  Frostburg State University, MD; maternal grandmother, Marion (Hannon)
  Bowser, Grantsville, MD; and paternal grandparents, Harry and Lenice
  (Goehringer) Vitez, Accident, MD.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville.
    Services were conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Zion Lutheran Church
  by the Rev. Wilfred Karsten.
