  Steve Vitko, 88, of Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin, formerly of
  Maple Ridge, died Nov. 13, 2002 at UPMC Lee, Regional, Johnstown. 
  Born Jan. 25, 1914 in Windber, son of George and Susie (Nenovicklad)
  Vitko.  Preceded  in death by parents, wife the former Kathleen Mary
  Jackson; son David; and several brothers and sisters.  Survived by
  daughter Jean, married to Dick Nelson of Elmhurst, Ill.; grandsons
  Matthew and Christopher Nelson; great-grandchildren  Mindy and Ryan
  Nelson; David's wife Carol and his sons Shane and Brian and several
  other grandchildren.  Army veteran of World War II, member of St.
  Anne's Catholic Church,  Davidsville, and the UMWA.  No viewing or
  service.  Following cremation, committal to be held at St. Anne
  Cemetery, Hollsopple.  Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Davidsville.
