Born May 8, 1924 in Friedens the son of George W. and Bessie (Spangler) Vogel. Preceded in death by parents, brother Leonard Vogel and sister Margaret Eisler. Survived by wife the former Dorothy Louise Eisler to whom he was married 57 years, children Mrs. Jerry (Gretchen) Burns, Dallas, Texas, Mr. George Conrad Vogel and wife Polly of Perry, Ohio, grandchildren David Burns, Dallas, Texas; Robin Vogel, South Euclid, Ohio and Dennis Briggs, North Carolina. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Madison, Ohio. Worked for Painsville Telegraph and Indenent Press in Cleveland as a printer. Also worked as a custodian for Madison Schools. Veteran of World War II where he served with the 17th Airbourne Division, Parachute Infantry, Battle of the Bulge. Member of Fraternal Order of Eagles for 58 years, American Legion, formerly worked at Hauger Funeral Home and Somerset Daily American. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset where a service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday with Roy A. Worsham officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, 6345 Chapel Road, Madison, OH 44057, Hospice of Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentorm, OH 44060.
