Vough, 81, of Faidley Road, Markleton went home to be with her Lord Oct. 22, 2001 at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown. Born May 9, 1920 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township. Daughter of the late Elmer G. and L. Maude (Faidley) Pletcher. Preceded in death by parents and infant son; brothers Ernest, Ralph and Roy Pletcher; and sister Grace Faidley. Survived by husband of 62 years Merle Vough; children Lester, married to Peggy (Mognet) Vough, of Brookville, Md.; Shirley, married to Tom Brougher, of Markleton; Virginia, married to Ethan Sheets, of Mt. Pleasant; Larry, married to Melissa (Mullendore) Vough of Markleton; grandchildren Lisa Brookman, Janice Curtis; Brian, Sharon, Jacob, Abigail and Leah Vough; Jeremy Brougher; Matthew and Jessica Sheets; great-granddaughters Faith and Nicolette Brookman; and Joy Curtis. Sister of John Pletcher, of Markleton; Ruby Nicklow, of Akron, Ohio; and Harry Pletcher, of Ft. Myers, Fl. She was a member of the Kingwood Church of God where she taught children's Sunday School and Bible School for many years. She was also a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School class and the Super Seniors group. She was a member of the Kingwood Hilltoppers advisory council of the Pennsylvania Farm Association and a former leader of the Milkshakers 4-H Club. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kingwood Church of God, Revs. James Monticue and Dean Hay Jr. officiating. Viewing will take place at the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Interment Kingwood I.O.O.F. cemetery.
