All that loving hands and kind friends could do was done for her, but God saw fit to call her home at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 29 days. The last day she lived she said this life is as nothing compared to eternity if we are only ready to go when called. The last weeks her mind was very clear and things that happened sixty or more years ago she recalled vividly. Her husband, J. L. Vought, preceded her to the grave nearly eight years. She was the mother of three sons - Harvey Russell, who preceded her to the grave 44 years; Milton H. and Lloyd N., both of Fort Hill, who survive; also a step- daughter, Mrs. A. H. Shoemaker of Easton, Pa. The surviving brothers are John Ringer, of Confluence, Pa.; Elisha Ringer, Harvey Ringer, Alfred Ringer and one sister, Mrs. Sadie Barry, all of Grantsville, Md. She leaves thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. At an early age she was converted to the Lutheran faith, being a member of the St. Paul (Addison Township) Lutheran Church at the time of her death. Her pastor, Rev. Geo. O. Ritter, spoke very touchingly of her love for the Holy Sacrament and her generosity to the church. The large concourse of friends and neighbors that gathered at the church for her obsequies showed the love and respect the community had for her. Interment was made in the St. Paul cemetery. Charles B. Humbert of Confluence had charge of the funeral arrangements. Meyersdale Republican, September 25, 1930
