 The Somerset herald. (Somerset, Pa.), February 04, 1880
On Saturday morning, Jan. 31, 1880, Frederick Weimer, Sr., in the 75th year of his
age. Mr. Weimer was one of our most respected citizens. He was born in Milford
township, this county, but in early life removed to this town, where he has since
resided. In 1842 he was elected County Commissioner, and has since acted in
important public capacities.  He was a man of strict probity and died without
enemies. On Sunday, although the day was bitterly cold, his funeral was attended by
a large body of people.
