WABLE, Ethel Florence (Firestone) 

Ethel Florence (Firestone) Wable, 100, Meyersdale, died March 10, 2007, at 
Meyersdale Medical Center. Born Oct. 19, 1906, in Markleton, the daughter of the 
late Curtis and Isabel (Williams) Firestone. She was preceded in death by her 
former husband, Analda Eugene "Jack" Wable; and three daughters, Mary Alice 
Durst, Berdella Fike and Virginia Ruth Wable. Surviving are three daughters, 
Margaret M. Carr, Fairchance; Shirley A. Vance, Elkins, W.Va.; Sarah Jane 
Artice, Meyersdale; 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 44 great great-
grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was a retired restaurant 
cook and homemaker and member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Hill. Friends 
will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., 
9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. 
Tuesday. The Rev. Nevin Umbel officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's 
Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the charity of the donor's
