All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ALBERT RUSSELL WAGNER Albert Russell Wagner Expired Suddenly while At Wheel of His Car Albert Russell Wagner died suddenly in his car on route home from work on the B & O Railroad at Mance on Tuesday afternoon at 3:50 p.m. Along with Walter Spiker and a Mr. Forespring, who were riding with him, he left Mance in apparent good health. A short time later he told his companions that he did not feel very well, and immediately braked the car to a stop and turned off the ignition, and then fell over the steering wheel in death. Death was ascribed to coronary occlusion by the county coroner. Mr. Wagner was born in Salisbury on October 26, 1890, the son of William and Barbara E. (Johnson) Wagner and was 54 years, 11 months and 6 days old at his death. He was married to Erma Bockes, and in addition to his wife is survived by one daughter, Phyllis; by five sons, Harry of the U.S. Navy; George Robert, Merchant Marine; Jack, in the Army in the Philippines; James B. of Akron, and Franklin, at home. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Anna Berkebile of Cumberland, Md. and by four brothers: Ellis, Dewey, George and John, all of Salisbury. He was a member of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be conducted at his home on Friday, October 5th, at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. George E. Bowersox, Jr., officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in charge of Stanley M.
