Wagner, who preceded her in death in 1937, died at her home in Salisbury, July 31, 1943, at the age of 78 years, 8 months and one day. Her death was caused by coronary thrombosis. She was a daughter of Samuel Johnson, and was born in Garrett County, Md., but was a resident of Salisbury for over 50 years. Although in poor health the last few years, she was always very industrious, and up to last Friday night she did her daily tasks as usual, and before retiring was listening to a radio program. She retired for the night about 10 o'clock, and died shortly after midnight. She is survived by these children: Mrs. Mary Fallon, Boynton; Mrs. Anna Berkebile, Meyersdale; Ellis, Albert R., Dewey and John at home; and George, a member of the Air Corps of the U.S. Army, and now stationed in New Mexico. Funeral services were conducted at the family home, Tuesday, at 2 p.m., by Rev. S. D. Sigler, pastor of the local Lutheran Church. Interment in the Salisbury I.O.O.F. Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, mortician. Meyersdale Republican, August 5, 1943
