Wagner, 89, devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, Lincoln Township, died Aug. 30, 2005, at the Patriot. Born July 21, 1916 in Johnstown, he is the son of the late Kline E. and Laura (Koontz) Wagner. Also preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn L. (Alexander) Wagner and sister and brother-in-law, Sara B. and Fred K. Shaffer. Survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Marjorie) LaBrosse, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Roger (Judith) Clouser, Harrisburg, and Linda Wagner, Sewickley; four grandchildren, Ronald and Robert LaBrosse, Michael Walker and Ann Garrett; and 11 great-grandchildren. Longtime member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church where he had served on church council and other committees. Member of Somerset Lodge 358 F&AM for more than 50 years, Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rice, Valley of Altoona, Jaffa Shrine and Somerset County Shrine Club. A 1934 graduate of Somerset High School and a life time member of the Sipesville Volunteer Fire Department. Worked for Saxman Coal Co. for 20 years and was assistant manager of the Pine Grill Restaurant for 15 years. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Friday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Doebler will officiate. Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church, 10377 Somerset Pike, Somerset, PA 15501. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home by Somerset Lodge 358 F&AM. Sipesville Fire Department will have a memorial service at 8:15 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
