WAGNER Funeral services for George A. Wagner, 65, who died suddenly Friday, May 2, were held Monday afternoon at the Black Funeral Home, with Rev. Mrs. Browell officiating. Mr. Wagner was found dead at his barn Friday morning, and according to Dr. A. M. Uphouse, county coroner, death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage, due to over exertion in driving his cows from a neighbor's wheat field. He was employed for many years by the B & O R.R. Co., but due to disability for work was retired on pension several years ago and had spent his time since that as a farmer, and served as an elder in the Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lela (Reiber) Wagner, two sons, Clement, of Point Marion and Connie, Baltimore. Meyersdale Republican, May 8, 1947
