Born March 20, 1903 in Hooversville, she was a daughter of Daniel and Bertha J. (Hamer) Shaffer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Kenneth H. in 1966; sisters, Verna and Erma Jackson; and brother, Harold G. Survived by these brothers and sisters: Miss Frances, Earl, Warren Sr., D. Dwight Sr., and Miss Blanche, all of Hooversville; and the following nieces and nephews, Jack B., Daniel J., Jan Dick, Warren Jr., Ronald H., Daniel Dwight Jr., Harold K., Karen E. Barnhart, Bruce Jackson, and Carol Sadusky. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Buckstown; OES No. 138, Somerset; Business and Professional Women of Somerset; TTT Club, Hooversville; and the Silver and Gold Senior Citizens of Shanksville. A former school teacher, she was associated with K. H. Wagner Insurance Agency, Inc., and Daniel Shaffer's Inc. Family received friends Thursday evening and will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger, assisted by the Rev. Gerald L. Myers. Interment, Buckstown Cemetery. If friends desire, instead of flowers, contributions may be given to Windber Hospital Hospice, Windber.
