Wagner, 56, died Feb. 15, 1980. He was born at Salisbury, Sept. 20, 1923, and was a son of Erma A. (Bockes) Wagner and the late Albert R. Wagner. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a veteran of World War II, a member of Salisbury American Legion, a member of the Salisbury VFW, Treasurer of the Salisbury-Elk Lick Hunting Club, a member of the NRA, and a 30-year employee of the Harbison-Walker Refractories of Jennings. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his widow, Mrs. Helen D. Wagner; one son, Gregory E. Wagner, Salisbury; two daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Engle and Mrs. Joyce Shunk, both of Reston, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Phyllis Bender, Grantsville, Md.; four brothers, Harry E. Wagner, Meyersdale; George R. Wagner, Baltimore, Md.; James B. Wagner, Weston, W. Va., and Franklin D. Wagner, Salisbury. Also 2 grandchildren. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home. Services were conducted Sunday in St. John's Lutheran Church by the Rev. David E. Fetter. Interment will be in Salisbury Cemetery. The Republic, February 21, 1980 [W0048]
