WAGNER William Wadsworth Wagner, 47, only son of Rev. Dr. and Mrs. I. Hess Wagner, Somerset, died suddenly in the Somerset Community Hospital. He had been taken to the hospital that morning, after suffering from a heart ailment for the past two weeks. He was the proprietor of the Wagner Radio shop in the First National Bank Building. Mr. Wagner was born November 24, 1901, in Williamsport, and came with his parents to Somerset 40 years ago. He was a radio engineer. He was one of the pioneers in building recording chimes and he constructed the arrangement of chimes in "Old Trinity," his father's church, the first of the kind in the county. Mr. Wagner was a descendent of the family of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow on his mother's side and was named for the poet. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his parents and his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Harris Wagner. Funeral services were held privately Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Hoffman Funeral Home.
