All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ CATHERINE WAHL Mrs. Catherine Wahl, aged 69, wife of Albert Wahl, of Woodlawn, Meyersdale, R.D. 1, died Monday morning at 4 o'clock in the Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, where she had been a patient since April 7th. The body was removed to Meyersdale by Undertaker William C. Price. She is survived by her husband, Albert Wahl, and seven sons: Harvey, Christopher, Ray and George, of Meyersdale; Marling, Cumberland; Charles, Boynton, and Hilliary, Hooversville. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; also by four brothers - George May, Coal Run; Humphrey May, Cumberland; Scott and Earl May, Boynton - and five sisters - Mrs. William Shuck, Meyersdale; Mrs. Charles Thomas, Cumberland; Mrs. Herman Licking, Connellsville; Mrs. Fred MacFaugh, Connellsville, and Mrs. Chauncey Humbertson, Canton, Ohio. Mrs. Wahl had two daughters, both of whom passed away after marriage and motherhood, Eva, Mrs. William Seiler, being survived by one son, and Lulu, Mrs. George Ringler, by three daughters. All of Mrs. Wahl's children and grandchildren were much devoted to her. She was a loving wife and mother and was held in very high esteem by a large circle of friends. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the home of her son, George, on North Street, at 2:30 o'clock, by Rev. Groves, pastor of the Pentecostal Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment was made in Union Cemetery with Undertaker W. C. Price in charge of the funeral arrangements. Six grandsons acted as pall-bearers. The funeral was very largely attended by relatives and friends. Meyersdale Republican, April 21, 1932
