Wahl, 69, of Worland, Wyoming, formerly of Coal Run, died Aug. 26, 2000, in Worland. Mr. Wahl was born Dec. 16, 1930, in Coal Run to Charles and Ada (Mull) Wahl. He attended grade school at the SJ Miller School and graduated from Meyersdale High School in 1948. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Panama. Mr. Wahl worked for American Bridge in Pittsburgh for a few years, then as a police officer for 12 years in Beaver County. He was married to Gloria (Peggy) Davis, and they made their home in Carson City, Nevada, where he was employed as a sheriff's deputy. The couple, moved to Worland in 1978. After moving to Worland, Mr. Wahl worked for Tenneco Oil Company and in the oil field industry and for Eddie Willard in the Ice Cube Enterprises. He also owned and operated Love Seat Upholstery, from which he retired in 1995 due to health reasons. Mr. Wahl's hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Worland and became a licensed pastor this past year. Mr. Wahl is survived by one son, Scott Wahl of Worland; a step-son, Mike Edder of Carson City, Nev.; three stepdaughters: Cheryl Edder of Mesa, Ariz.; Misty Edder of Carson City; and Stacy Schweigert of Billings, Montana; one brother, David Wahl of Schoharie, N.Y.; and two sisters: Della Burkholder of McKeesport and Mabel Kreger of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Wahl of Aliquippa and Virginia Wahl of New Castle, Wyoming; and grandchildren Bo and Jordan Schweigert and Rebecca and Megan Edder. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Gloria (Peggy), and two brothers, Claude and Charles (Bud) Wahl. Funeral services were scheduled to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel in Worland, with Pastor Tony Roberts officiating. Visitation for family and friends was held the previous evening at the funeral home. Burial was to be in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
