    RAY WALDO
    
      Ray Waldo, 65, Martinsburg, WV, died Thursday, Dec. 7, 1989.
      He was born in Grantsville, Md.
      He was a former Martinsburg High School principal, hired in 1970
  to help ease racial tensions at the school.
      He was a 1951 graduate of Glenville State, and started his
  teaching career in a one-room schoolhouse in Calhoun County.
      He received his master's degree at West Virginia University and
  coached and taught at schools in Roane and Lincoln counties until
  1968.  He was then hired by Weir High School, Weirton.
