Waldrop, 79, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of, Somerset County, died Oct. 3, 2002 in Decatur, Ga. Born Feb. 16, 1923, in Cambria County, she is the daughter of the late David Lee and Margaret Virginia (Dishong) Fodder. Also preceded in death by a brother, Galen Fodder. Survived by husband, John C. Waldrop Jr.; daughter, Melinda Waldrop Jaroscak of Garden Grove, Calif.; stepdaughters, Johnnie Barronton, Joan Hewitt, stepson, John C. Waldrop III and three grandchildren. Sister of, Ruth Apter, Margaret Menser, Ann Bailey and Mildred Berkebile, all of Somerset, Charlotte Spangler of Tionesta and Evelyn Hartman of Portage. Retired from Civil Service Corp. of Engineers and was the Head of the Survey Department for the city of Los Angeles. U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with pastor Daniel Adams officiating.
