    WALKER 
    
    Alfred M. Walker, 72, of Corner Stone Road, Friedens; died
  unexpectedly Feb. 8, 2003 at Somerset Hospital.  Born Jan. 26, 1931
  in Jerome, son of William D. and Lillian N. (Swope) Walker.  Preceded
  in by parents; first wife, the former Velma Joan Kimmel; daughter,
  Patricia Rummel; grandson, Clifford Scott Rummel; brother, William E.
  Walker; and sister, Nellie Shields.  Survived by wife, the former L.
  Marie Shaw, sister Cora "Sis" Levadnuk of Jerome and brother Ross F.
  and wife Patricia of Columbus, Ohio.  Also survived by two
  granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews.  Retired mechanic for
  Mardis Motors, Somerset.  Member of New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club,
  Berlin VFW and Schellsburg VFW.  A private family viewing will be
  held. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell.
