  ARCH F. WALKER
  
    Arch F. Walker, 100, of West [ ]ace Street, Somerset, died August
  28, 1977, at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born August 27, 1877, in
  Somerset Township, he was a son of the late Jonathan and Eliza
  (Fritz) Walker.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Bertha Rebecca
  Barkley, two sons, Clark and Robert, and a sister, Mrs. Emma Gahring.
    He is survived by these children: Mrs. Ruth Hillegas, Berlin RD 1;
  Mrs. Mary Sweitzer, Berlin; Mrs. Helen Custer, Somerset; Dalton B.,
  Somerset RD 1; eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
    He was a member of Samuels Lutheran Church.  A small family
  gathering celebrated Mr. Walker's 100th birthday at Somerset
  Community Hospital the day before his death.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Richard E.
  Hauger Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Pyle officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
