Walker, 65, Somerset, loving husband, father and grandfather, died March 13, 2006, in Johnstown. Born Feb. 13, 1941, in Somerset Township, he is the son of the late Roy E. Walker and Mildred (Miller) Walker, Somerset. Besides his father, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Debora. Survived by his mother; wife, Ann (Mitchell) Walker; daughters, Mrs. Jeff (Christy) Hay, Rockwood; and Lori Walker, Friedens; grandchildren, David Martin Jr., Kristin Martin and Andy Hay. Brother of Joan Miller, Somerset; Clarence Hoffman, Friedens; James Walker, Somerset; Roy Walker Jr., York; and Hazel Kinsinger, Dorothy Bennet and Ruth Nicholson, all of Somerset. Member of First Christian Church, FOE Aerie 1801, IBEW and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He coached little league baseball and midget football league. Retired from GTE after 37 years of service. Graduate of Somerset High School class of 1960 and a U.S. Army veteran. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Christian Church. The Rev. Daniel F. Nicksich and the Rev. John Barchey officiating. Interment in Sipesville Cemetery.
