Born July 11, 1918 in Summit Township, he is a son of the late Frederick Morgan and Cordulla (Sipple) Walker. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Nyal, and two sisters, Nellie Walker and Lois Engle. Survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Grace Hay; one daughter, Beverly, Meyersdale; one brother, Morgan, Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Dorothy Brown, Phoenix, Ariz.; three beloved grandchildren, Chris and wife, Patricia, Norfolk, Va., Amy and husband, Edwin Douglas and David, all of Henderson, N.C. and seven great-grandchildren, Chris, Jessica, Stephanie, Alexis, Amaya, Avah and Jhailen. Member of St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ, Laurel Sportsmen, Senior Citizen's Bowling League, loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors and traveling. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy. Salisbury. Service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Wilhelm Church with the Rev. Bruce Ashlock officiating. Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
