Walker, 77, Missoura Ave., Somerset, died March 11, 1995 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 19, 1917 in Somerset Township, son of the late Myrl J.Q. and Ada (Weigley) Walker-Bowman. Preceded in death by stepbrother Fred Bowman, and stepsisters, Olive Maust and Ruth Egolf. Survived by wife, Ruth (Becker), formerly of Meyersdale, and these children: Linda K., Listie; Daniel J. Jr., Leesburg, Va; Galen M., Plant City, Fla.; Rodney M., Pittsburgh; and Jeffrey G., Friedens; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Irene Saxman, Allentown, and Mildred Bowman Struby, Millbrook, Ala.; and a stepbrother, Clyde Bowman, Somerset. A combat veteran of World War II. Member of Somerset Church of the Brethren; Somerset VFW Post 554; Somerset American Legion 181; Somerset Lodge 358 F.&A.M.; Harrisburg Consistory; Altoona Shrine; Somerset County Shrine Club; Somerset Kiwanis Club; Meyersdale Elks; Cooties; 55 and Over Club; and The Last Man's Club. Retired from Standard Oil Company. Employed at Somerset North Station of Pa. Turnpike. His death terminates a marriage union that would have been 55 years, March 17. Friends were received Sunday evening and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Monday) in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rev.
