He was born Nov. 4, 1940 in Rockwood, a son of Homer G. and Julia (Weimer) Walker. He is survived by paternal grandfather, Clarence Weimer of Rockwood; his wife, Elizabeth (Slater) Walker of Waynesboro; two sons, Jeffrey Lynn and Kevin Wayne, both at home; two daughters, Miss Stephanie Walker of Waynesboro, and Cynthia Gail, at home; four brothers, Ronald of Rockwood RD 2; Donald of Ebensburg; Lynn of Garrett; and Keith of Germany; and a sister, Mrs. Rena Kay Green of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister. Also by his grandmother, Alva Weimer in 1977. He was a graduate of the Rockwood Area Senior High School, Class of 1958. He received his CLU designation in 1977 with the Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance Co. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Rouzerville, Pa. where he served on the church council and was currently financial secretary. Member of the Franklin County Underwriters Association. He was self-employed as an insurance agent with the Lutheran Brotherhood Insurance Co. Funeral services were held at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rockwood, with Mr. Walker's pastor, the Rev. Robert Hale officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests to please make contributions to the American Cancer Society. The Republic, August 28, 1980 [W0165]
