WALKER, David Herbert

David Herbert Walker, 85, Pittsburgh, formerly of Jenners and Gray, passed away 
Dec. 27, 2007, at St. Vicenton Home, Pittsburgh. Born in Boswell, Feb. 17, 1922, 
a son of Harry David and Erma (Volk) Walker. Preceded in death by his parents; 
brother, Allen Walker; and sisters, Hope Supanick and Carroll Young. Survived by 
wife, the former Bertha Cox; children, Diane, married to David Harris, Michigan; 
Suellen Quinn, Pittsburgh; Luann, married to Bruce Boris, Ohio; and John, 
married to Kim Mayberry, Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; two great-
grandchildren; brother, Paul L. Walker, Tennessee; and sister, Kathleen 
Supanick, Gray. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, member of the 
Masonic Order. Graduate of the former Boswell High School class of 1939. Viewing 
was held Friday at Simmons Funeral Home, 1120 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, where a 
service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (today). He will be laid to rest in 
Pittsburgh.
