Walker, 85, Central City, passed on Jan. 12, 2006, at Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin. Born March 28, 1920, in Stonycreek Township, he is the son of the late Richard and Maggie (Miller) Walker. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mabel, in 1981; and brothers Kenny, Jay and Glenn Walker. He is survived by his sons, Gerald and wife, Connie, Friedens; Robert and wife, Sherry, Shanksville; Ronald and wife, Loretta, Central City; and Lee Walker and Kim Johnston of Central City; grandchildren, Cathi Boyer and Gerald Jr., Richard, Kenneth, Brett, Angi, Gina, Phillip, Kami and Kyle Walker; step- grandchildren, Anthony and Alexia Yamashiro, and Jason Karns; 10 great- grandchildren; brother, Elbert "Jimmy" Walker and wife, Dorothy, Friedens; and sisters-in-law LaRue and Nancy Walker. He was a retired self-employed feed grinder and drove a school bus in the Shanksville-Stonycreek School District for more than 30 years. He also farmed in Stonycreek Township. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Shanksville and the Wills Grange. He enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Robert Way officiating.
