Walker, 71, died of a heart ailment at 11:15 o'clock Tuesday night at his farm home near Meyersdale. Although he had been in ill health for some time, his death was unexpected. He was a well-known farmer, having lived most of his life in this community. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Meyersdale. Born on March 28, 1874, in Somerset County, he was a son of Gillian A. and Louise (Miller) Walker. His wife, the former Edith Berkey, died in 1942. Surviving are seven children - Bert F., Earl M., Harold E., and Robert D., all of Meyersdale; Orlen E., U.S. Army; Mrs. Robert Dennison, Cumberland, Md., and Mrs. Earl S. Miller, Meyersdale. He also leaves seven grandchildren and two brothers, Milton A., Rockwood, and Elmer D. Walker, Somerset. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren by Rev. DeWitt Miller, pastor. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, under the direction of W. C.
