Walker, 84, Somerset, died July 19, 2006, at Somerset Hospital. Born April 18, 1922, in Somerset Township. She is the daughter of the late Harry and Nora (Cook) Hoover. Also preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia, brothers, John, Harvey and Harry Hoover and a sister, Louella Paxton. Survived by husband, Glenn M. Walker, daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Dolores) Schrum, Chesterfield, Va., Mrs. Lance (Catherine A.) Saylor, Cleveland, Ohio, Linda Marie Shaulis, Lake Forest, Calif. and Glenda Antus, New Wilmington. Grandchildren, James Platt Jr., Vickie Kline, Rhonda Martyn, Sherry Leek, Wesley Shaulis and Jeanetta Plotner and nine great-grand-children. Sister of Alice Trent, Boardman, Ohio. Member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church and served as a volunteer for Meals On Wheels in Sharon. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Doebler will officiate.
