WALKER, Ethel M.

Ethel M. Walker, 85, Berlin, died Nov. 13, 2007, at Meadow View Nursing Center. 
Born June 9, 1922, in Shanksville, daughter of J. Howard and Etta (Miller) 
Hillegas. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Paul, William, and Ernest 
Hillegas; and sisters, Blanche Landis and Luella Hillegas. Survived by her 
husband of 66 years, Gerald I. Walker; children, Donna L., married to John 
Skanderson, Pittsburgh; Ronald G. and wife, LuAnn, Somerset, and Larry I. and 
wife, Diane, Harrison City; grandchildren, Jill Wiedner, Amy Pellegrino, Julie 
Paree Tiffany Todaro, and Shawn Walker, and 11 great-grand- children, Sister of 
Donald J. Hillegas and wife, Hazel, and Mary, married to Edwin Baker, all of 
Friedens. A 1940 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School. Co-owner of 
Gerald Walker Trucking, Berlin. Member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin. 
No viewing or visitation. A private family service will be held at Ethel's 
request. The Rev. Dr. John W. Harmon officiating. Interment Berlin IOOF. 
Cemetery. Instead of flowers contributions may be given to Holy Trinity Lutheran 
Church, 507 Main St., Berlin, PA 15530. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, 
Berlin.
