  WALKER
  
  Eugene R. Walker, 81, of Stoystown, formerly of Central City RD 1,
  died April 29, 2000, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown.  Born
  Oct. 19, 1918, in Stonycreek Township, son of Mary E. (Walker)
  Meyers.  Preceded in death by mother and stepfather, Earl M.
  Meyers.  Graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and Indiana
  State Teacher's College.  Retired draftsman, designer, and
  illustrator with Camp Barrington, Vermont; Beaver High School;
  Robertshaw Thermostat Company; H.H. Robertson Engineering; PPG
  Industries; and Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh.  He also
  operated a small commercial art studio in Pittsburgh.  Member of St.
  Mark Lutheran Church, Shanksville, AARP, Somerset County Artists
  Association and Bedford County Arts Council.  Family will receive
  friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday.  Rev.
  Steven Cater officiating.  Interment, Glade Cemetery.
