Walker was born Dec. 13, 1913, in Brothersvalley Township. He was the son of Howard Ames and Anna Lee (Broadwater) Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, the former Blanche Lottie Cobia, who died July 27, 1946. Walker is survived by his second wife, the former Mildred Alma Douglas, whom he married Sept. 27, 1947; one daughter, Marianne Walker; four sons: Ronald L. and Douglas H., both of Oakland; Robert N., Orlando, Florida; and Michael T., Winter Garden, Florida; and his brother, Irving P. of Winter Garden. His paternal grandparents, Irvin Peter and Lillian Grace (Dively) Walker, were longtime residents of "Golden Rod Farm" near Berlin, while his maternal grandparents, George Washington and Emma C. (Miller) Broadwater, lived in Northampton Township. After living two years near Berlin, Walker and his parents resided in Power, Montana, from 1916 until 1924. In 1924, the family moved to Findley, Ohio. From there, they moved to central Florida in 1925. Walker was a retired master craftsman in woodworking, with more than 60 years experience. He also designed, created and invented with metal. He and his brother, Irving P., founded Walker Brothers Millworks in Winter Garden in 1947, which they operated jointly for four decades. Walker retired in 1988 from the family business, which continues to be operated by Walker nephews. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Winter Garden.
