Walker, 79, Somerset RD 3, died July 5, 1977, at his residence. He was born December 14, 1897, in Somerset Township, son of the late Edward and Emma (Shaulis) Walker. He was also preceded in death by two brothers. He is survived by his widow, the former Lucy Rebecca Ankney and these children: Mrs. Edward (Ella Jean) Barron, Somerset RD 7; Mrs. Clarence (Pauline) Baker, Somerset RD 2; Forrest and Mrs. Robert (Norma) Fritz, both of Somerset RD 3; these foster children; Ernest Leo Coleman, Alaska; Wayne Coleman, Somerset RD 3; Mrs. Connie Davies, Rockville, Md.; fourteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Clark and Phillip, David, Grace, Enos, and Mrs. Cloyd Ream, all of Somerset RD 6; Mrs. Mary Fleegle and Mrs. Garfield (Marion) Miller, both of Sipesville; Clyde and John, both of Somerset. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. Friends are being received in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted Friday at 10 a.m., Vicar Robert Dago, officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, July 7, 1977 [W0202]
