Walker, 88, East Fairview St., Somerset, died April 10, 1986, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 12, 1898, in Stonycreek Township, son of the late Homer and Lena (Altfather) Walker. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Etta Lambert, and two grandchildren. He is survived by children: Elwood E., West Milton, Ohio; H. Lee, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; Beula, wife of Orlo Swank, Somerset RD 5; and Lorraine, wife of Wayne Shaffer, McKees Rocks; 14 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren. Member of Faith Lutheran Church; the I.O.O.F. Lodge, Somerset; Somerset Grange; Somerset Historical Society; the 55 Speeders; Trinity Fellowship and Roof Garden Chapter Full Gospel Men's Fellowship. He was a retired Stonycreek Township farmer and served as a Stonycreek Township school director for 18 years. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and after 10 a.m. Sunday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Services Monday at 10 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, Pastor Charles J. Hartbauer officiating. Interment, Mizpah Cemetery.
