WALKER, Helen Bernice

Helen Bernice Walker, 81, Somerset, died July 4, 2006 at Memorial Medical 
Center, Johnstown. Born April 28, 1925 in Milford Township, a daughter of Harry 
Bruce and Margaret Marie (Hay) Saler. Preceded in death by parents, husband, 
Robert Donald Walker, who died July 3, 2006; brothers, Bruce and Harold Saler. 
Survived by daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Kathleen) Duigou, Greensburg; Pamela 
Walker, Somerset; granddaughters; Mrs. Timothy (Sarah) Hines, Berkley Springs, 
W.Va.; Elizabeth Duigou, Greensburg. Also survived by brothers and sisters; Miss 
Ferne Elaine Saler, Somerset; Carl R. Saler, Somerset; Mrs. William Robert 
(Lillian) Lloyd, Somerset; Merle Kenneth Saler, Campbell, N.Y. and Mrs. Donald 
(Marjorie) Schlosnagle, Somerset. A 1943 graduate of Somerset High School where 
she was an honor student. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active 
teaching Bible School. She worked as a clerical secretary for the Farm Bureau, 
Agway and Montgomery Ward Co. until her retirement. She was also a past member 
of the Rebekah Lodge and volunteered at Somerset Hospital as well as the Social 
Security office. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday 
at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral services will be conducted 
11 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset with the Rev. Linda 
McElroy officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Memorial 
contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave., Somerset, 
PA 15501.
