Walker Jr., 58, of Box 698 Aliquippa RD 2, died July 21, 1978, in the Aliquippa Hospital. He was the son of Goldie M. (Gerhard) Walker and the late Homer G. Walker Sr. He was born April 20, 1928, in Rockwood. He was a member of the old Bethel Church of God, Kingwood, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WW II, a member of VFW Post 554 in Somerset and the Home Association of Somerset, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Bettye Mary (Tarr); five sons: Darwin W. of Waynesboro; Ronald R. of Rockwood; Donald J., Ebensburg; Lynn A., Garrett; and Keith D., stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash.; one daughter, Mrs. Rena K. Nicklow, W. Va. Also surviving are two brothers, Karl and Kenneth, both of Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Oma Rae) Ditmar, Columbus, Ohio; and Mrs. Bettye Riordon, Harrisburg; 16 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. DeAnna Nicklow, in July, 1969. Friends were received in the James Darroch Funeral Home, 2640 Mill St., Aliquippa, where services were held.
